I think you are projecting a bit. I'm not offended by any means. I love getting comments and using them to improve. I'm just replying to why your arguments seem invalid to me.

I would be glad If any editor (Fleet for example) does a better job than VSCode as I'm always looking for better tooling. I have used Eclipse, Sublime, Atom, IntelliJ IDEA, and many more in the past. VSCode is surely not the last IDE I'm going to ever use.

I think you should care for Remote SSH development. I have been using it for years and it's the near future of programming. It's not just about the terminal. It is about coding in a remote environment. It means not having to host any development-related infrastructure and delegate all that to the remote machine. The developer will be able to code in a fast, reliable, and secure environment with 0 configs.

In this article I'm just explaning why I'm excited about this new editor, nothing else. Even if Fleet ends up not being right for me I'm always glad to try new tooling and see competition driving innovation forward :)
